5 Coffees You Need to Try, and 1 You Should Avoid

My future in-laws got me a Keurig for Christmas and boy have I been putting it to work!  In the last couple months I have tried over two dozen different flavors and here I've compiled a few of my absolute favorites.

I usually drink my coffee black to avoid the inevitable sugar crash, so all of these flavors are reviewed based on the quality of flavors before any sugar or cream is added.  I have on occasion had each with cream and sugar, which only makes them tastier :)

Van Houtte Chocolate Raspberry Truffle
If those flavors sound even remotely good to you, you will love this k-cup.  It's one of my all time favorites and I find it difficult to track down outside of the Internet and occassionally Target.  This isn't a super well known brand, but it's absolutely delicious.

Who knows cinnamon rolls better than Cinnabon?  No one, that's who.  Luckily for us, they applied that knowledge to this coffee perfectly.  Cinnamon coffees don't always turn out well (Stabucks' cinnamon kcup is significantly lacking, for example).

These are technically not Kcups, but still work flawlessly in a Keurig.  Cameron's prefers to make their single serve pods with a greener approach by replacing the plastic cup with a coffee filter.  I don't know if that's what makes their coffee so delicious, but I do know it's what makes the wonderful scent bloom when you open the packaging.

Donut Shop Coconut Mocha
I'm not usually a huge fan of coconut but this coffee is so good.  It reminds me of the specialty coffees that claim to be modeled off of the Samoa cookies sold by the Girl Scouts (but for a lot cheaper than a coffee from a coffee shop!)

Gloria Jean's Butter Toffee
I originally chose this flavor based on the picture alone and I was definitely not disappointed.  My first coffees as a child came from Gloria Jean's in the mall, and i still believe they are the best coffee chain.  Their K-cups are not far from the real thing.

Finally, the one k-cup worse than any other k-cup.  The k-cup king of disappointment and despair: Starbucks Mocha.  You would think that Starbucks, known for their peppermint mochas at Christmas and creators of a marvelous salted caramel mocha, would be able to make a halfway decent mocha kcup but you would be oh so very very wrong.  This kcup tastes like they used baking chocolate as their base!  No amount of sugar or cream could make this tolerable.  I finally wrote directly to Starbucks to complain (that's when I found out I was not the first person to hate this flavor) and they sent me a refund.  Why they're still making it with the dismal rating it has, I have no idea.
