I have been subscribed to Ipsy for 3 months now and while I'm not always thrilled with every product, for only $10 a pop, I am definitely always satisfied. This month the theme was Jetsetter and it has been my favorite so far.
First, the bag.
The bags are the reason I signed up in the first place. Cute, unique and only available through Ipsy, $10 for a makeup bag is pretty ideal. That it comes with free product samples is pretty much just icing on the cake.

This month Ipsy revealed that they would be sending three versions of the glam bag and I was supposed to get the one that read "Contents: My Life" which I turned up my nose at because, no, nothing that could fit in that bag could be quantified as "my life." Luckily, when my sweet fluorescent pink bubble mailer arrived, it contained the bag I found most creative and which I thought should have been the bag everyone received (see first photo).
The only con to my bag this month was it didn't fit the theme at all (Jetsetter). As a real-life jet-setter, I would have gone bananas over a glammed up TSA approved bag! It would've been so easy to produce a clear bag with a logo and a brightly colored zipper. Oh well.
Now the products...
One of the first spoilers this time around was that everyone was going to receive one of three high end, well known, full size products. Either you would get Urban Decay's 24/7 Glide on Lip Pencil + BONUS Revolution High-Color Lipgloss, IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream with SPF 50, or GlamGlow Thirstycleanse Daily Hydrating Cleanser. I was thrilled with all three and was happy to get the Urban Decay pencil.
The pencil came with two lipgloss samples in Failbait and Bittersweet. They looked to bright but were surprisingly workable! Failbait was a gorgeous sheer pink after application, and while bittersweet was definitely too purple at first, it really worked well with Failbait layered over it.
The glosses retail for $22 and while I usually dislike anything but stains, I would be willing to shell out for a full tube of Failbait. The UD website describes the barrel as "flat" so that it will lay in your pocket easily, which would be a nice alternative to the huge barreled lipglosses. Also it has lip plumper in it, and while lip plumper usually makes me feel anxious (I don't like the tingles!), this is hardly noticeable with the liner under it.
Next in my bag was NUXE RĂªve de Miel Facial Cleansing and Make-Up Removing Gel.
I was skeptical about a gel cleanser that said it would lather but was for "dry, sensitive skin." Anyone with dry, sensitive skin knows we should stick to cream based cleansers and in general, things that DON'T lather. But I tried it out anyway because you never know!
Pros: It had a light gentle scent that is faintly reminiscent of honey. It's Paraben free. 94% of the ingredients have "natural origins."
Cons: Only a few minutes after using it, my skin felt tight and irritated, especially at my temples and on my cheeks (my driest areas). Even with the application of lots of lotion, my skin felt like it could not be quenched.
I feel like this cleanser is better for normal or oily skin and if you want to head to Nuxe's website to check it out, you can get 20% off with the code PARIS2015
I also received a Chella Eyebrow Color Pencil in Tantalizing Taupe, which the description says is "perfect for any brow colors, especially blondes and greys.
I knew before my bag arrived I wouldn't even be trying this because I have found that when I use pencils, my poor little delicate eyebrow hairs fall out from the trauma!! Instead I now use Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Pen in the universal deep shade because I barely have to touch my eyebrows with it, ensuring a gentle application that won't leave my brows completely hairless!
If you want you shop Chella's eyebrow pencils, be sure to use the IPSY2015 code for 25% off.
Following the eye trend they also sent me Pure Pigment Eye Dust by Jesse's Girl in Brown Sugar.
It was also very easy to apply and appears to have real staying power!
The code IPSYMAY2015 will give you 20% their website. For $4.99 this is a considerable amount of pigment and definitely worth the price! I'll be trying out other shades for sure.
Finally, they included a sample of Style Me Hair Oil by Balanced Guru.
For 25% off use the promo code IPSY25 at their website.
